Welcome to The Leadership Connection for child care professionals! It has been my vision for several years to create a place where child care professionals from all over the world can connect and share ideas - without leaving the comfort of their workplaces - on how to have the most successful child care program possible. A place where frustrations are shared and solutions are developed and focused on.
Well, here it is and I must admit I am excited about this web site and the knowledge that is contained here for your benefit. I hope after you look around a bit you will share in my excitement.
My journey started years ago when I developed Motivate Teachers (www.MotivateTeachers.com) in 1999.
Child care leaders from all around the world contacted me to share their frustrations - high turnover, unmotivated staff, lack of funds for training and such. Shortly thereafter I decided to create an audio program called The Leadership Connection for child care professionals that would focus on bringing child care leaders solutions to their most common challenges pertaining to managing, motivating and retaining great staff.
The audio programs that I've created over the years are the major component of this web site. So far I've posted somewhere around 40 audio programs that all levels of membership can listen to at the click of a mouse.
More programs, articles, discussion groups and checklists for success will be posted in the future. Additionally, members will have the option to access video programs and much more this year.
