Professionals
What does it take to transform your staff into your dream team of
child care professionals? We'll explore the core of inspiring team
members to make constructive change happen and how to walk "the
leadership talk" so you can breathe new life into your child care
program. Leaders have referred to this module alone as
eye-opening. If you need to feel rejuvenated and empowered, this module
will get you going.
Week 2: (November 24th, 2010, 7:00 CST):
Building A Strong Leadership Foundation
There are 3 discoveries you'll make during this training
module that will not only be personally inspiring but will also shed
light on small things that you can begin doing immediately to help you
make quantum leaps in your efforts to lead your team. You'll gain
tremendous insight as to how and why your team currently functions the
way that they do and how to feel positive and energized daily in your role as
a child care leader. You'll also discover the secret ingredient that
makes all the difference between a high-functioning team and one that
merely exists.
Week 3:(December 1st, 2010, 7:00 CST):
Breaking Down Barriers
Get ready to really dig in and discover the demotivators in your
workplace. Discover over 25 common barriers (communication and
mindset) that keep your team stuck. Once you become aware of the
barriers that are present in your workplace, you can then, and ONLY
then, put a plan of action into place to eliminate them.
Week 4:(December 8th, 2010, 7:00 CST):

Communication is a Priority: Getting It
It's important to get direct and open communication from your staff
so you can troubleshoot issues before they become huge, time-consuming,
costly problems.
It's also important to get direct and open communication from your
staff so you can converse with them about how satisfied they are in
their jobs. After all, if they're not sharing that information
with you, who are they sharing it with?
You'll discover the first necessary steps to getting direct and open
communication from your staff.
Week 5:(December 15th, 2010, 7:00 CST):
Creating an Environment Where Direct and Open
Communication is a Priority: Giving It
You've got to give direct and open communication to your staff so
they have they opportunity to make constructive change happen and reach
new heights. Yet, many leaders have difficulties in doing this.
Discover specific strategies that make cultivating a climate and trust
and mutual respect easy and a truly joyful experience.
Week 6:(January 5, 2011, 7:00 CST):
Creating an Environment Where Direct and Open
Communication is a Priority: Facilitating It
Are conflicts being resolved positively and directly in your
workplace? If not, get ready to discover strategies to help you
facilitate the process of direct and open communication among your
staff. You'll develop a conflict resolution system that will take
your workplace communication to a whole new level. Endless venting and
complaining will be a thing of the past.
Week 7:(January 12, 2011, 7:00 CST):
The Heart of Staff Motivation
The heart of staff motivation is not a "carrot on a stick."
Yet, many leaders try to motivate and inspire their staff with rewards,
incentives, gifts, and even stickers. All of those things work to
a degree but only when everything else taught in this program is in
place.
During this module you will discover what is at the true heart of a
motivated staff and how to incorporate those things into your child care
program. And yes, they will not drain your budget!
Week 8:(January 19th, 2011, 7:00 CST):
Staff Appreciation
Staff appreciation is an important part of your motivational plan of
action but only when everything else taught in this program has been
applied. In this module you will discover staff appreciation
pitfalls to avoid and how to really incorporate staff appreciation
techniques so your efforts bring forth positive feelings and results.
What results? More of the behaviors that you would like to see team
members displaying on a daily basis!
Week 9:(January 26th, 2011, 7:00 CST):
Make It Fun
Love this module! We'll explore how to make your workplace more
fun - this means more smiles and more positive word of mouth. It
also means less burnout for you and your staff. Again this is
another cumulative step that is only really effective when everything
else in this program is in place.
Week 10:(February 2, 2011, 7:00 CST):
Time Management
Most leaders need more time to do the things they value most
including implementing their plans of action. During this module
we'll recap all of the time-management techniques that were shared
during the bootcamp (there are many!) and you'll discover strategies
that top leaders implement to better time. Yes, these are
applicable to the child care industry.
