Hello and welcome to my inner circle of child care directors, owners and administrators who are creating dynamic, positive and productive environments for working and learning!
I started my journey in the child care industry over 20 years ago and for the past ten years I've worked privately on-site with child care directors and their teams presenting leadership retreats and team retreats customized to meet each program's specialized needs. Part of my process to prepare for my programs is to confidentially interview leaders and their staff. This process has granted me the opportunity to find out why so many wonderful and dedicated child care leaders struggle with staff motivation.
After years of research and dedicating myself to this industry I have discovered the secrets to motivating your staff. Would you like to know what they are? I hope you answered yes - because it's in my heart to share them with you.
I have compiled my findings into a 5-step plan of action to Manage, Motivate and Retain Great Staff as well as an 11-step plan of action to Break the Gossip Chain. I share these plans of actions with leaders from all over the world through my retreats and keynote presentations.

Every month I personally help you create your positive and productive workplace through:
1) Live Monthly Coaching Calls
Every month I set aside a 2-hour time period where you can call me and get your questions answered. I typically allow 5-10 minutes per call. Our one-on-one time can be just the thing you need to get a solution to a situation you're facing or to further develop your motivational plan of action or do develop your plan of action for an upcoming staff meeting. It's a huge time-saver and stress reliever for our members.
2) Weekly Teleconference Calls (Team Building Tuesdays)
Every Tuesday you can join me for a live teleconference call where I answer your burning questions about staff motivation. Questions are submitted in advance and the call is typically 30-60 minutes. If you miss the calls, recordings will be available and posted on this site.
3) Members-only Discussion Forum
Post your challenges and receive support, suggestions and strategies. Every week I check our forums to see what questions or challenges our members need help with. I personally respond to each post within one week. In addition to me responding, you'll receive support and ideas from your colleagues from across the world.
In addition to the personal help and attention you'll receive from me you'll also meet some of my friends in the child care care industry through our "special topic" audio programs that are mailed to you and posted on this site every month. We are always surveying our members to see what topics they would like covered and then scheduling guests who can answer all of your questions. Amazing - I know! 4) Over 70 special topic audio programs On this site there are over 70 audio programs that you can access immediately. Topics range from Getting Organized to Rejuvenating Yourself. We have an easy search function so you can find the solutions to the challenges you're facing in just minutes. Transcripts of these calls are also posted here for you to download.
5) Receive a new leadership CD every month These CDs are mailed to you and contain a leadership topic, staff appreciation idea and a team building activity.
6) Forms Resource Library
You'll find a wide array of forms that you can implement in your child care program. I know how valuable your time is, so our forms resource library was created so you don't have to reinvent the wheel. We periodically create and add new forms. If you don't see a form you need, let us know and we'll see what we can do.
7) Special Topic Conference Calls
From time to time I will arrange for special teleconferences to take place. Some special calls that took place this year included: Tuition Collection, Happy For No Reason, and Communicating With Parents of Children With ADHD.
