One of our survey questions was: What situations in your workplace have caused resentments to build?

Here are a few of the situations. Can you relate to any of them?




1. Many staff are feeling a great deal of resentment due to the person

in charge leaning onto and using one person's perspective and outlook

(who is not an administrator) on all in-house concerns/problems and the

person in charge is not utilizing their administrative staff to give them

insight and direction. People are building a great deal of resentment towards

this individual and it is hard for them to understand why this is happening.


2. There are two administrators, some teachers have said they do not like

to have to speak to both of us at the same time - it seems like two against one.

Admin have been advised by attorneys to always have a witness when staff talk.

How can this resentment be averted?

3. One staff member taking it upon themselves to order the others around

-one staff member refusing to take direction unless it comes directly from

the director.
